Anyone else desperately craving sushi? Trying a new spot somewhat near my apartment, hoping it's not too bad.
I love good sushi and sashimi...hope the new spot is good! Once I find a place, I am there at least weekly...luckily, we have two good places near my house!
Actually, it turned out to be the best I've had since a place called LzSushi when I lived in NYC. That place is unrealistically good, possibly, for my money, the best in the world. Granted, there's probably better in Japan, but I dunno. It was the freshest, most buttery fish I've ever eaten (obviously without butter).
@PolyWolf I have heard of them! I am so glad that this is so available in the USA now...seriously, the pricing is affordable as compared to restaurants in Japan. I am not a sushi snob...as long as it is fresh and clean, I am good. My mom would not eat anything with avocado or cream cheese (not native to Japan sushi!)...but I love it all. Come visit and I will know where to take you...ha ha ha!
@thinktwice I'm actually planning to! There's a slim chance I'm going to be taking a break at some point from work just to see friends, and I'm intending to bring my partner to Choco-town because she's never been.
I am always amazed that we have decent sushi in Denver, so far from the ocean.
I never developed a taste for sushi.
I used to not be a fan, but then ended up having good sushi a couple times in a row, then it was all downhill (in terms of me wanting to eat it and it costing a lot of money). That said, I can totally see why someone might not like it.
