I'm indescribably happy that it's finally getting cold again. I run so warm that it's sort of embarrassing. At least now I can be useful and provide much-needed warmth. If I had my druthers, it would be this temperature year-round.

I have the same problem. Though sometimes summers here in the PNW are too warm for me. My housemates will be wearing layers and I'll be in shorts and a tank top, still sweating. I get nauseated by the heat. However, since I moved here it's been the only time I've ever looked forward to winter, mainly because it only shows for a few days here. Having lived in Illinois and then Minnesota I've had enough snow to last me a lifetime.

I grew up on Lake Erie, so I'm used to snow for 8 months out of a year, but I certainly appreciate the sentiment.

I always liked the temp to be kinda cool. In the summer I'm in my pool everyday...

lucky! i run warm myself, but don't like either extreme, and i do tend to get pneumonia when the weather turns. my perfectly outdoor temperature: 65 with no wind or 60 with a strong wind.

g

Me too! 60-65 is perfect temp for me.

I'm not actually any sort of sportsball guy, but I used to be. This always reminds me of the best sports weather to play in. It's just chilly enough not to die from heat exhaustion on the field, but not so cold as to bite with frost. I love it!

@Cutiebeauty I’m with you too. I don’t like extremes at either end too much....although I think it is easier to warm oneself when cold than it is to cool down when it is really hot.

@Marionville this is true. there is only so much one can remove before one gets down to skin.

Me too, I live in pretty temperate climes here in N.Ireland....just a bit less rain at certain times and it would be perfect for me.

@genessa Yes....! ?

@Marionville i garden (badly) so i like rain! i also cook... but i forget what i have and i am sometimes ill and can't cook, so things go bad. i just discovered some okra i'd forgotten about, all icky and useless... except also all full of seeds, which i extracted from the slime. i shall plant okra seeds! then i will be quite happy when it rains (in spring, summer and fall).

g

@genessa The problem here is ...it sometimes is that drizzly kind of rain with the sky all over grey and not much light even in the daytime....not really cold but just miserable and a bit depressing, This is our typical winter weather here and can sometimes go on for days on end. It is when I do most of my reading, saving all the books I want to read until then, and just hibernating at home!

@Marionville yes, exactly...

@Cutiebeauty i hibernate anyway lol. reading is good. my eyes won't let me do that anymore except backlit, meaning online. i used to read about three books a week, simultaneously.
