The monarchy is much more of a figurehead now. It doesn’t get involved in politics even within the U.K. My own parents left the U.K. for Canada in the late 60’s. I remember in the early 80’s how happy they were when the Canada Act was signed we became completely sovereign. Canada still has a great relationship with the U.K. and up until recently had a good one with the US

That is a good question. We do have a system of checks and balances. Works great, right!? The POTUS is argueablly the most powerfull person in the world. Too much power for one person. I think the president should be more like a king or queen in the UK. Just a public figure.

silly. as if britain is doing that great. true there isn't a trump there, not in power anyway, but it wouldn't work. it isn't trump alone.
