I have realized that I am getting old. Particularly, I may never get sensation in my 2 messed up fingers back and who knows what I'll lose next and when. Not sad. This is life. But I'm done thinking about nothing but work. This is not bucket list kind of thinking, but a desire to go do the things I thought I wanted to do. I am plotting surgery later this year and my fingers may be fine, but regardless, this is a wake up call...

So...

2019: European vacation. Particularly Ireland, Scotland, England. Alone or with friends. Considering May and November. Real planning begins 5/1/18.

This is not entirely due to [agnostic.com] but thank you @Elsantoasauro for kicking my wheels in the direction of actual planning.

Do it.
I had years of extremely good health, a single visit to a doctor in 40 years to have some fish hooks removed and a tetanus shot. Last year was eye surgery, not a great result.
Time is running out, no 2nd chances, do things while you can do them to the max.

Join the club. @DJVJ311 I have trouble with my hands too. Currently in hand therapy-surgeon said operating wouldn't do anything. I am currently visiting a fellow site member on the west coast. The most walking I've done in 5 years. Yes we need to kick ourselves in the butt and stay active.

Yeah. I still have a few steps before surgery to make sure it'll have a good chance of being effective and all that, but it's kind of terrifying either way. For 37 years I couldn't play a musical instrument because I had no talent and not enough drive. But now, I will never play a musical instrument because even if surgery is effective I probably shouldn't strain my hand. I know it's the same thing from the outside, but it's completely different from the inside. Hopefully it will give me drive.

If you want to talk about it feel free to message me and I'll tell you what happenned with diagnoses.

Can you please not be "getting old?" I'm almost 45 and I'm still in denial! Lol

Congrats on your decision. Don't let two messed up fingers hold you back. In the grand scale of things, it's a fairly small medical issue, although probably frustrating...

I'm trying to let two messed up fingers drag me forward and start doing the things I want to do. 😀

@DJVJ311 two thumbs up!! (See, you didn't even need those two fingers.) 😉

Well alrighty brother... go see the world. I've seen my part of the world I can afford to go see. The wife wants to go to italy... I don't know why... but she does... damn that's going to cost. Anyway... go have some fun while you still can and have fun doing it.
Don't forget Wachula in April for the Bensen fly in... I bet you would love this. Buying your gyrocopter would be less expensive because mine had to carry 350 pounds. I needed a bigger engine and frame. Me and the fuel, thats heavy.
