i know some muslims. they not only do not have slaves and are not slaves, they would not have slaves if offered. slavery is acceptable in the ancient texts of ALL god-centered religions. look at modern practice and also look at WHERE -- in the sudan, light-skinned sudanese enslave the dark-skinned ones, and sudan is an islamic nation, but islam is a religion, not a form of government, so the word "legal" doesn't apply. are you speaking about the western world? no, muslims in the western world don't have slaves.
