True enough, although I can say that mainstream fundamentalist teaching at least in my day was that of course this wasn't literally going to happen, but that it would look like it ... perhaps a plague of meteors or something. They would even say that this is how an ancient prophet given a vision of these future happenings would interpret them -- basically doing a full-on jiu-jitsu move on Tyson's talking point.
