Who are Donald Trump's role models?

Trump has been exchanging love letters with Kim Jong Un, who controls the North Korean media absolutely, and has carried out a bloody purge within his own government. Among others he had his own uncle killed at home in North Korea and then had his cousin murdered in an airport abroad.

Trump accepts the word of Vladimir Putin over his own intelligence community, lauding him as "a very strong leader." Putin has had dozens of journalists and dissidents murdered in and outside Russia ; the most recent attempt occurred in England.

Trump likes Rodrigo Duterte's no-nonsense approach. Duterte has sanctioned thousands of extrajudicial killings in the Philippines.

Trump has provided cover for Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, who recently had a Washington Post journalist murdered a dismembered in the Saudi Embassy in Turkey. Trump thinks that letting the House of Saud investigate the matter internally is a good idea that will lead to real answers.

Trump has encouraged his followers to beat up people who disagree with his policies. He has said that there are some "very fine people" in the KKK. Given how Mr. Trump has maligned American journalists as "enemies of the people," and trusted American media outlets (like the Washing Post and The New Yorker) as "fake news," what are the odds that Trump would not begin killing journalists and dissidents right her in the USA if he thought he could get away with it? He already knows that, as far as his base is concerned, he could "shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and nobody would say anything." If the American people give him another supine Republican Congress, will Trump see that as a green light to emulate his role models?
