How have you handled attacks on your choice to not believe in god? Sometimes believers can get very personal and nasty.

People realize very soon after meeting me that getting personal and nasty at me is a serious mistake. Just keep hitting them...with logic and science and the Bible. They freak when I quote the bubble at them to refute a point they made using the bible. It makes me smile to see the light come on when they realize almost everything written in it refutes something else written in it.

I just say "Prove God" and that usually ends it.

That has worked for you?

@LaMariposa , Sometimes. Other times they see me as a challenge then they attempt to drag me into a battle of wits.

The worst I've experienced has been being called an idiot on social media. Face to face no one has ever treated my badly for my non belief.

Also I get "You're just mad at god!" I hate that.

I usually hold back my ever burgeoning thoughts back because 10/10 times (in my experience) it does no good to continue with reason if that person(s) won't at the very least listen to reason.

Welcome to our little world and may you find fun, happiness, friendship and more in our little place. Just be yourself. I am lucky, I had been accepted how I am because there is nobody with recollection of me ever been catholic even when in attendance of private catholic school.
