My 15 year old is at a Christian Halloween event. What should I say to her to encourage her to reflect critically on what what she witnesses.

How did this go? I noticed from another post that it was at Liberty University/Fallwellville (which would concern me if I were a parent in this situation with my child). Thus, there is no doubt that there was some sort of altar call or presentation of the "you must be born again" gospel endorsed by seemingly cool college kids...

As far as I can tell it went ok. She said there were different scary rooms set up and her boyfriend was making jokes the whole time (?to keep from feeling scared lol)
She doesn’t talk to me a lot about her beliefs because she knows mine. She does believe she is a Christian and I try to find little teachable moments to help her see for herself. But I struggle because I just don’t know what to say, what to restrict…
I hope when she is grown she will say that I helped her find her find her beliefs and didn’t push her one way or another, but isn’t that what most families do??

A Christian Halloween event? Must be a very xian-lite place!

Is it just one of those benign harvest festivals, or is this one of those horrible rapture/end times type things?

Not sure. It’s at Liberty University. Perhaps the most Christian college

@BeccaVa
Yikes.
That place is pretty hard core.

They will no doubt make christianity seem cool, push some emotional buttons, and make her feel on the outside (if everyone else has been "saved" ) in order to draw her in as they proselytize her. I would share my experiences and explain why I think it is not only fake, but also harmful. I would also point her to others whose lives have been ruined by this virus...
