I saw a post on Facebook asking why vaccinated children would be in danger from unvaccinated children. I had to answer and felt I should put this here as well.
Unvaccinated children are a danger to infants and young children who haven't had their full series of vaccines. Many babies fall ill with preventable illnesses and some die because they were exposed to an unvaccinated child who was carrying a preventable illness. Immuno compromised children are also in danger: kids with hiv, fighting cancer or any of a host of other illnesses that make them unable to recieve vaccines and therefore vulnerable to these other illneses. Furthermore the more opportunities a virus has to proliferate the more likely a variant will arise that is resistant to our current vaccines. Unvaccinated children can be breeding grounds for new, more deadly viruses.

true. vaccinations vastly reduce the chance, in most people, of being infected with whatever you're being vaccinated against. the more people in a group are vaccinated, the better it works, because exposure is reduced. it is not 100 percent perfect; what is? not me! not you! not anything or anyone! oh, maybe lox. but that's another story. so if unvaccinated kids "invade" a "herd" of vaccinated kids, the risk goes up that some of the latter will indeed be infected. your point about mutations is also well taken. take note, everyone, there are epidemics of such diseases as measles, which we thought we had more or less eradicated. why is this? anti-vaxxers!

Ok guys. For a bunch that prides themselves on being smart and reasonable, y'all are coming off as a bunch of screaming hysterics. To answer whoever said I was browbeating people, please go back and read the post again. I was refuting a very specific idea that unvaccinated children pose a risk to vaccinated children. To those of you advocating "freedom at the cost of other childrens lives" that is fucking reprehensible

i think you mean that you were refuting the idea that unvaccinated kids do NOT pose a risk to vaccinated kids. now, ag dot com has been known to eat my words too lol. anyway you mean that they DO pose a risk and you're refuting the claim that they do not. right? i'll comment more directly but just wanted to make sure no one mistook your meaning here, because you're right!

I wonder,how will the "Invasion force"at the Southern border play out? Will Polio,Diphtheria,and other diseases make a resurgence?? Rubella,and others,too??

Well there have been years long campaigns to vaccinate people in those areas so I wouldn't particularly expect that. TB may be an issue though.
This won’t be an issue. Any that make it into the refugee holding will be vaccinated and TB tested in the trump cages.
It's hard to believe people can still be so ignorant today, when we've got a world of information at our fingertips.

It's a world often full of questionable information. See Jesse's comments above: this is information he recieved and came to his conclusions based on that. Checj your sources and question what ya read, folks.
