The packaging is going away but the contents are still there... yoga, meditation, health retreats, etc. Much of what was previously regarded as religious has been secularized into the culture at large. There is no human society that does not support practices that are aimed at reducing stress and promoting social cohesion. When we soil one descriptor we replace it with a new, clean name, and the behavior continues.

Yes. And the money that was once donated to ecclesiastical institutions simply got diverted towards charlatans like tarot readers, psychics, gurus, life coaches, motivators...

There is at least an advantage though. These people take money from gullible individuals, but they don’t interfere with education and politics. Some of them pay taxes.

Also, yoga and meditation are healthy and help people stay fit, and haltheir reducing social healthcare expenses.

I’ve been admiring Europe for so long … even the EU.. Any more, I view them as our saviours. They’ve felt war, too often, so appear to seriously avoid it. They’ve been ahead of my nation for decades regarding religion..
