You can be frank and say "it wasn't a good fit" then go on to discuss your marketable skills that you learned at Oracle [that's a joke btw]

My wife is a business writer and she routinely fails to mention some gigs because they corrupt her work product in ways that she doesn't want to be connected to it as people could easily think she doesn't know WTF she's doing. For example she'll be asked to write a press release, will do it in proper AP style and then they'll edit it before releasing it so it looks like a total noob job. Or she'll ghost write something for a CEO and match it to the style requirements of the publication and then the CEO or staff will edit it so that it's a piece of crap. The latter is not so bad because a ghost writer can't cite it as their work anyway, inherently -- but still.

At least when I write software it goes into a version control system and if anyone else screws it up, there's proof.

When you leave a gap in a resume you will most certainly be asked about it! Everyone knows this, so I question your question....

i have had crappy jobs and i don't even remember whether i included them in my resume when i was looking for jobs; it's been ages since i've needed a resume. i don't think there is anything wrong with leaving employers off if you can more or less legitimately account for the time gap. if it was a short employment that's easy. if long... well, prospective employers WILL want to know what you were doing during that time.
