Here in PA, after the shooting, the Govenor ordered flags at half mast. This is the flag at the Gettysburg Staples. I asked, and contacted headquarters. The store said the flag was too large. It flew at half mast last Veteran's day. Hmm.

Too bad they didn't follow through-I suppose people could boycott the store to get their attention.

To position a flag to half-mast you raise it to the top of the pole and lower it at least the height of the flag from the top. This can vary due to the height of the flag and its pole.

This flag could be lowered half its height and clearly be at "half last."
