I feel bad for the woman.
Yes, so do I , and I would probably have acted the same way. It seems the punishment is more for how she treated his body after death that the actual murder...which makes no sense to me, a corpse is after all just a body devoid of life. I feel for his family, but the fact that they feel the grief of his loss should in no way have any bearing on the case in my opinion. Sometimes the law is an ass, and I think this is one of the times.
I think the judge should have given her a slap on the wrist and told her to not do it again. At least she didn't drag him by the neck with her car before killing him, which might have been more just (DISCLAIMER: Since everything I write on the Internet is probably saved forever, I must state this: I am not advocating dragging rapists by the neck with cars, although I might laugh if it happened).
