I met an amazing woman through this site. We were very close for a few months. It didn't work out but I'm still glad I got to connect with her. There are others reasonably close that I hope to meet. Agnostic.com helps me have hope for relationships and community. BTW, there are a number of men on here who live in the DFW Metroplex.

G'day and welcome, as to 'successful' that depends on both your idea of success and what you expect/want from it, doesn't it?

It's just over a year old and building up membership. I have heard that at lest one coupel met here and got married.

At what?

This site has a dual purpose ... community / discussion and meeting people for purposes of romantic entanglements. I don't use it for the latter but get the impression that it's at least a useful adjunct to other sites. The problem for any dating site is the need for critical mass of members such that most people will find a decent selection of prospects sufficiently close to where they live. Urban west or northeast in other words is probably in better shape than, say, rural Bible belt at this point.

As to community -- it hits a sweet spot for me. I didn't think I'd like the lack of unbelievers here as much as it turned out I did. They are fun to toy with but one gets bored after awhile as they literally bring nothing new to the discussion, ever. Even when they actually discuss, which is seldom.

Moderation is generally light touch, and most participants are thoughtful and civil. To me, that's success.

As a writer and reader, I enjoy writing and replying to posts. Love the camaraderie, encouragement and support from people.
