Are there any others out here that feel as I do? I need to keep up with what is happening with our government, because I can't make a good assessment, if I don't know all the facts...at least information gathered in a 4 hr time frame (my limit)! Anymore time than that, I think that I could end up in a 'looney bin.' But, just when I think I can handle what is taking place...trump and his minions stir up something that is so far beyond what I have ever witnessed in this country, that I feel like I will have to disconnect myself or go nuts! What happened to the adults in this country? What happened to good bearings and appropriate responces in the highest offices in America? One minute I feel like crying...then the next minute, I can't give up! Does anyone else feel this torn apart, over this time in our history?

This is why government should be small enough to fit inside The Constitution. This is why POTUS should have so little power that it matters not who occupies the Oval Office. This is why all seats in the House of Representatives should come with a term limit. The larger the government, the more complicated the government becomes, the more fingers the government has in matters where they have no business, and the harder it becomes for the People to stay informed. The more difficult it becomes for the People to be informed, the easier it is to control the People, the easier it is to infringe upon the People's liberties, and the easier it is to misinform the People or distract the People with one thing to keep them from informing themselves about something far more important.

This is tyranny, and it has been for quite some time.

That is pretty clear and an excellent point of view! Our government is so massive the average person gives up trying to keep up with it. They have business and families to keep up with! I am retired, and it is wearing me down!

There are many days when I can't believe that my country can be this way.

I am hopeful for this November. I don't know what I'll do if I get let down yet again.

Yes, it’s really scary. I find myself avoiding political news because I’m worried about being lied to. I don’t trust any media at this point. Also, when I do find out, it’s so messed up that I want to tune it out.

The reason that I try to stay up to date, is because you must get information from many different sources before you have found half an answer to anything! This is insane, having to spent this much time, trying to stay informed about your government!

It's horrific. Watching us become a third world country in a matter of months is beyond reason. I have friends who honestly believe Trump is the best president, ever. Way better than Washington & Lincoln. I was here for Joe McCarthy and for Nixon. Those days pale beside this nightmare. I think what bothers me most is seeing old-time Republican leaders like McCain, Grassley, Sessions, and McConnell supporting and encouraging this sacking and pillaging of America.

And how can those people that are supporting trump, be so blind...they are right here too!

@Akfishlady Lots of people are standing up to him, But for now at least, he is the most powerful man in the world and taking him down has to be done right or it's professional suicide.

@Freedompath Yes. Those are the people who upset me. What are they thinking!!!???
