Who is your "Go-To" atheist? I've been spending a lot of time traveling and listening to various YouTube speeches from Skepticon and so forth. I'm intrigued by Richard Carrier and Aron Ra. Anyone else I should listen to?

If you want to laugh I'd suggest listening to Hugo and Jake read Chick Tracts. Keep in mind you'll appreciate them more if you have a very fucked up sense of humor

You mean who do I listen to most? It used to be Christopher Hitchens, but since there's nothing new, I like The Atheist Experience, Tracie Harris is my favorite. Sam Harris is interesting, but I don't care much for his podcasts and I find his voice annoying.

Matt Dillahunty is one of my favorite and there's a lot of YouTube content

Matt is mean. I don't like him.

@celticagent he can be really direct lol but I like his logic and get to the conclusion.

There is someone on here who is pretty brilliant...

Are you going to share?

@Sticks48 No. I don't want to embarrass them. But they made one epic post on religion that to me says it all and is irrefutable just on logic.

Zomgitschris was great when she was active, but she's not been very active in a long time.

I would not limit myself to anyone but try to get as many different perspectives as possible. The ideas are more important than the person. Everybody has different areas where they know more than others. Matt Dillahunty for instance knows the bible very well, Richard Dawkins is a biologist, Daniel Dennett a philosopher. Some are also more entertaining to watch than others if that is what you are looking for. It's not always about learning something new about a field or how to debate a certain subject. So what are you after?

That's just it. I am interested in more voices and viewpoints. So this thread has generated some very good recommendations.
