I saw a meme on FB that said that not all trump supporters are racist but all racists are trump supporters.

I would disagree.

I think that all trump supporters have found within them the ability of look past and accept racism and this makes them racist in fact.

I used to think he is a racist and he very well may be. I see him more as a narcissist with serious antisocial tendencies. So he will cater to the audience he feels will have him win. He is simple Me me me...hence Needing loyalty but not loyal to anyone- so completely internally focused. I think he would throw any one regarding race or religion under the bus.

What absolute meaningless unintelligible dribble.

If one more person counters something awful he's said with a comment on how great the economy is doing, I think I'm going to scream. Well, scream again. A lot of people seem fine with evil so long as it makes them money.

I don't agree that all Trump supporters are racist. Most people just see the really obnoxious Trump supporters because that's what sells on tv. The really obnoxious ones are also the ones that go out of their way to post on social media and also on sites like this one. If we were to go by what's on tv and social media then we would think the majority of people are criminals and that everyone in the U.S. was getting murdered and the population was down to 100,000 people. Let's also not forget about the black people that support Trump. They exist. Maybe you can say "a lot" of Trump supporters are racist, or exactly what was posited in your OP about "not all trump supporters are racist but all racists are trump supporters", but then even that might not be accurate. I'm sure there are some racists that see Trump as a poser.

The willingness to accept his overt racism and to continue to support him, in my mind, marks a person as a racist.

@spiced Yes, but a lot of his supporters don't think he's racist. So although you might see it that way doesn't mean that's a reason why they support him. Whether they are delusional or not in thinking so isn't the matter.

@Piece2YourPuzzle the inability to see that racism is racist in itself.

@spiced Or maybe it's just stupidity or naivety or denial. A lot of people don't want to believe something about someone who they believe in. I've seen it in people firsthand. Some people's hope outweighs their reason. We are on Agnostic.com so we know how a lot of religious people and believers can be. The majority of people in the U.S. are still believers and that mentality is probably ingrained in them and affects other parts of their life away from religion. So you have every right to believe what you believe about them, but it doesn't mean they are all necessarily racist. If a wife has a husband that is a not so nice person and is actually a pretty despicable person with the things he does, but she doesn't want to believe it, it doesn't mean she herself has done all those despicable things.

It's not just racism, but sexism as well. Right-wing conservative Christian look past Trump's BS life and only see the glory which is the coming of a new theocracy. Watch Brazil closely. We see the same happening there but much more openly. The right-wing Christians support the new president because he has vowed to make Brazil a theocracy.

I can see that.
