Why must dating lead somewhere?
Early in my teen years , Mom borrowed a library book , and told me to read certain chapters . The book explained that dating was a way to learn about a person , before you select a mate . A lot of others , decided dating , was a way of having no-strings-attached sex , and consider all women prostitutes . The 2015 census (googled it ) states , it now costs over a quarter of a million dollars ($250,000) , to have and raise a child . In my opinion , a man , who wants sex , but is unwilling to invest in a relationship , is not someone worth risking having a child with .
What's the difference between dating that goes nowhere and going out with a friend? Is this a matter of using different terminology?
If the difference is sex, I would say a lot of women feel vulnerable having sex and don't want to expose themselves to someone who isn't invested in their wellbeing.
Yes, it's that, I'm only doing this (sex) for the some other pay off, part that I'm questioning. Bartering? Prostituting?
I think it's more about physical and emotional safety than trying to get your stuff.
