Engagement!
My daughter and her boyfriend got us all on a Hangouts call yesterday to announce they will be getting married. It won't be for another year and a half, as they will be doing this after his PhD graduation. They are both Maya archaeologists, and his specialty is airborn lidar surveys of the jungle to find buried Maya cities. They are making their home in Los Angeles now, and I'm looking forward to being out there for Xmas week, and enjoying some warmth!
