There is a member from Paradise, CA. That town got hit by a wildfire this week and she posted something earlier this week about it. I was just thinking to check in and can't find the post or recall the user name.

If you're out there, hope you and yours are ok.

Read about the fire this a.m. Glad justjoni is safe. Here’s hoping casualties are few.

So far 5 confirmed dead - died in their cars while trying to evacuate. So many elderly in town - I’m afraid there will be many more bodies found when they start checking burned buildings. ?

Yep I’m the Paradise Agnostic. Been in San Diego since late September, so I’m very safe. But no idea about my house, and older dog that was stranded at my ex’s place. Hard to get my head wrapped around this.

I fear I can only type words, words that seem unoriginal as many have typedd them - but by all means reach out if there is anything we can do to help. Fingers crossed that your pets found a way to survive. Hang in there, it is devastating, but you aren't alone.

Glad you're safe. Reach out if you need anything. I'm in TN now, but I grew up in Northern California and still have contacts.

@beerkrump Thanks. Funny, I was born in Tennessee. Moved to CA at age 4 though. Where in CA did you grow up?

@Justjoni
In the foothills east of San Jose. Dad worked in aerospace engineering and we had a small apricot orchard.

Yikes! Last I heard was that there was a mandatory evacuation order, and that the town was being hit hard. She may be in an evac center or elsewhere, with a lot to deal with on her hands. Join you in hoping she is OK.
