Sinema is up around 32,000 vote in Az. Great news.
My wife and I enjoyed a video of an interview with her. I was very impressed. Very pragmatic, articulate and while she has a nice backstory of her family being homeless and living in an abandoned gas station, she doesn't dwell on it or make it all about her.
As a progressive I don't like her centrist leanings but suppose it's the only way to win in a state with a lot of rural conservatives. She's sure better than that asshat Flake that she's replacing, with all his faux posturing about principle and still voting 95% in lockstep with Trump, and of course after putting on a show of concern about Kavenaugh, voting for him anyway. And she's better than her opponent, McSally, by a long shot.
She's a class act in the Obama mold. During their debate McSally spent the entire trashing and downgrading her. She stayed calm and centered and left McSally to destroy herself.
I just saw a reference to this comment from someone named Jennifer Bendery on a net news source. As a lifelong AZ native, I'm thrilled.
Kyrsten Sinema marks a lot of firsts...
First Democratic U.S. senator from Arizona since 1976
First female U.S. senator from Arizona
First openly bisexual U.S. senator in the country
I've been avoiding all news this last week. This is wonderful. McSally has no soul. Well, none of us do, but you get my point
