It's a balmy 30 F here.
@Looking4-Others First freeze we've had in at least two years.
@Looking4-Others Yes, but not unheard of.

@Looking4-Others I was here in SA for those years.
@Looking4-Others Don't like cold either, but no BP meds; once did, but got off about three months after starting a plant-based diet.
@Looking4-Others Been on it for several years, lost 115+ lbs, chronic pain mostly stopped, BP down, and diabetes well under control. BP was the first improvement, and I weighed about 450. Have 110/70 BP now @ 350 lbs, no BP meds.
I'd had a very minor heart attack; they put in stints. Now, I'm pretty sure my blood vessels are clean.
@Looking4-Others I haven't seen Survive to Thrive, but FOK is my bible. On youtube, Dr Fuhrman and NutritionFacts.org channels are good. Another documentary, What the Health, is good; as well as other resources via Google.
Because I'm eating a rainbow of vegetables daily, I don't get very hungry, compared to when I ate standard American food...meat and potatoes, cheesburgers, etc. Conseuently, I've settled into a restricted calorie diet of around 1200 per day. Experiments on mice to monkeys has shown it to extend lifespan by 50% with good health, too. For the full 50% one needs to start young, but starting anytime is better than not. I'm 74 this year, and hope to live into my 90s.
@Looking4-Others Good luck. To avoid the munchies, be sure to eat a rainbow of vegetables daily, and keep the fat and sugar as close to none as possible.
