Tried Match.com. First you must get a 6 months minimum membership at a horrendous price. Second they try to lure you in with photos of good lucking women but won't let you read more about them to see if there is - maybe - more interest before you decide to pay up.
Stay away from Match.com.
I don't get why anyone would use a dating site. Seems sad to me.
It is sad, but when you've tried offline and it never works or only exposes you to comparatively tiny amounts of available people, you don't feel like waiting years for the chance of meeting someone compatible.
Sounds fishy
@clarkems haha i am there too
Mostly around here those sites are sausage parties.
It probably does vary quite a bit for certain geographic areas, but from what I've read online research on the paid dating sites says the overall gender ratios for membership are not very far apart, less than 5%. However, just like in some geo areas, the gender ratio on some sites can vary a lot for some age groups, like younger men and older age women.
I've been on Match a little over a year. Price is a little higher than other sites like Our Time, but probably because Match has the largest membership pool of any US dating site. George is right tho, you have to be aware that Match. like any paid dating site, will keep using someone's profile long after they have actually quit the site just so the site looks like they have more actual members than they do have. Hell, I get profiles sent to me every day among the Daily Matches that are supposed to be picked based on who I have messaged or rated as someone I want to meet, but each time there are some profiles that are obviously long inactive, even some repeaters that I recognize as dead profiles. Honesty and integrity are not long suits on paid dating sites, but how else will one get access to such a large pool of single people?
A friend used Match.com and found they were still using her photo for advertising after she left.
