I have no one to talk to. Everyone I know is Christian or Muslim.

Pretty much everybody. If it comes up. I don’t care one way or another. My family knows. I don’t care what they think. If we have a good relationship, so be it. (We all do) my mom believes but I don’t think she ever opens a bible. I guess it’s possible that she does, but I don’t remember her ever quoting the thing or talking about it but she comes from a family of baptists in northern Louisiana. My eldest brother is a pentecost. I can’t imagine him freaking out in tongues lmao. I should fuck with him about that. My mother once told my middle brother, “I don’t think Lance (that’s me) is a xtian,” to which he replied that neither was he.
At work, I don’t care. I a land/construction field surveyor. Dude I work with I’ve known for about 30 years, he’s like atheist lite. Thinks I’m too militant and that I scare people. Hahahah. It’s kind of fun.
All of my boys’ friends I hang out with are pretty much atheists. That’s the one redeeming quality of the millennials and beyond. When people in the area talk about their god, they might as well be speaking of Hermes or Allah, so I can’t really mix in with them. They always notice my horns, anyway.

My best friend, she shares my Agnostic views and my son, he's an Atheist.

I'm lucky, my mother is an atheist and I have several friends who are. Most of my family is not too religious, so I'm lucky there also.

I can tell everyone on my father's side of family-they've known for years but not my mother's side-my cousins are religious Jews and Zionists something I abhor. Friends mostly.

Most of my friends.

All atheists here, so much so that it is rarely a point of discussion

Guess I am "blessed". Have quite a few. My wife is atheist also. My immediate family are non-believers. Have a large humanist group at my UU church. Would be comfortable talking about being atheist to anyone at our church. Many friends outside of our church. But have been building community here in Oregon for a long time.

Oh my parents would be CRUSHED, and my sister is a WHACKO FUNDAMENTALIST, so no.

That sucks.

@NothinnXpreVails It really IS tragic. I am SO ENVIOUS of people whose sisters are their best friends 😟 She is pretty fucked up - she is obsessed with the Illuminati (?!) and that THEY (?! the Illuminati?!) killed Prince, George Michael and Carrie Fischer (The evidence is right in front of you!) OMG...nut job.

Nope. Just here.

Everyone I know knows I'm an atheist. If someone gets butt hurt over it I don't really care. I'm pretty open about my nonbelief.

I can't understand when people feel unable to talk about Atheism with others; my best friends is extremely religious and we talk about this subject all the times.

Yeah, I have a few. If it comes up with my believer friends I pretty much let them set the pace. They usually get to a point where they don't want to have the conversation anymore and I don't press.
