This movement makes me instantly happy. Always has. I know it's a fairly commonly heard bit of music, but when the get "plucky" it makes me smile. I needed this today. This early snow really is a drag.

Then, when it started exploring hidden pockets within the melody and almost screeching very violin, that's when I thought I was hearing the plucky that you described. Then the fourth part came in at double time (as I was getting into the shower) and I realized that this was the plucky movement........Damn, I shoulda just said 'That was good' or 'thanks for sharing'

I love the trout! I studied the first violin part at the Conservatory, and then later at music camp. It's so much fun to play!

A great piece of classical music can take you on an emotional journey, tell you a story a paint pictures in your imagination, all without words just the sounds and vibrational frequencies of pure feeling.

I'm a huge Mozart fan. This is not going to make sense, but my fav Mozart movement is the Lacrimosa from Mozart's Requiem. We sang it in HS and got 1s at State - and the highest score of all large choruses that year. I get tingles every time I either hear, or better yet sing, the soaring creshendos in that piece.
So yeah - a funeral mass makes me happy. ??

I wish we had snow. I'll trade you. I just bought a new set of tracks for my quad and cannot wait to go in the mountains. BTW, Digging your dance costumes.
@Mindfulness It's one thing to have snow now and again. It's another thing to have to live with it at least 6 months out of the year. Snow and ice can be dangerous. Because we live with so much of them someone I know will get hurt every now and then. I had a friend who was killed in a roll over on an icy road.
@graceylou, I do understand. I have taken the last couple winters off to travel, but previously spent 8 years, seasonally, driving a plow truck for our local Dept. of Transportation. During storms, the 10 consecutive 12 hour days of trying not to crash a 50,000 pound or hurt anyone else would wear on me. But, first nice day off, after I got caught up on sleep, you would find me playing in the snow.
@graceylou, little correction that I missed... "50,000 pound truck"
@Mindfulness I can imagine that would be scary. Since I work on my property I don’t go elsewhere unless absolutely needed. Don’t need an extra person on the road if not necessary.
