My letter to the editor about a State Representative advocating justification for Biblical War.
Hi Darrell, I knew you back in the days of the FFRF forum. Nice job on the letter.
Yes, we certainly don't need Shea in leadership positions. He belongs in a strait jacket in a mental hospital. Spokane and surrounding area voters voted him in however. That doesn't speak highly of Spokane schools or their pupils. Are the students sleeping through their classes ?: They certainly aren't well informed or capable of rational thought once they reach voting age. For me, living in Post Falls Idaho, it's tough being bright blue in a dull red state ! Very few election successes this month in Idaho.
Thank You. Did a Lot of that myself, located twixt 3 towns… If nothing else, beyond the relevance of your statements, it lets the rest of us know we’re not alone!
Years ago.. A local newspaper ‘insisted’ they publish our home address along with our name, “That’s the way we’ve always done it,” I’d be told. After some serious go-rounds with the editor & owner, they stopped. Perhaps they took serious my threat to sue them if damage to my property or family was ever linked to their printing my address.. Though - before that, I’d send off ‘thank you’ postcards to like-minded LTE writers … several remain close friends
Excellent letter! It is sad that we seem to have fewer and fewer progressive people! And we have elected officials that must bring their religion to their position! My thinking is that religion should help shape us to live a civilized life, along with others that may hold a different opinion.
