RIP President John Kennedy, this date in 1963. The country was never the same after his assassination. I remember where I was when I heard the awful news.

Yes, I also remember exactly where I was when the news came, 55 years ago. In 3rd grade classroom, and we stopped all activity and turned on the TV while our teacher was in shock. Back in those days, there seemed to be more respect for the president, regardless of party, and his death affected the whole nation.

Julie, I recall how shocked the nation was after the attempt on Reagan, we seem to come together as a nation after an event such as this. The shame is that a dramatic event such as that is needed
