Being a Brit I don’t really get The Thanksgiving celebration. I know it’s got something to do with Indians and turkeys but is it a more relevant event in America than Christmas and how does God fit into it if at all.

Yes, very thankful for this community, a sanctuary away from what feels like religious oppression sometimes, especially during the holidays.

Happy Thanksgiving. Dont get why ppl think just bc u don't believe in god, u don't celebrate holidays. Just bc ur atheist doesnt mean u can't use the reason to be with family and friends, or even to respect the customs and rituals, or whatever ur personal belief or sentiment may be.
