OOOh first time I see you all in 'big'. Sckiving at work. Just been stood down from an extra session so here for a few minutes more. One advantage of sitting at the back of the office
Define "sckiving" please.
Sickly skiving? Skiving sickily? Or is it a Trumpism like Cofeve.?
Sckiving was apparently the easiest job in the cotton mills in the times when EVERYONE near me worked in the mills. Consequently a 'sckiver' is a lazy person who gets out of work.
@Amisja Ahh, then I've been a master sckiver for years and didn't even know it. Regardless, this is a skill I'm probably not going to put on my resume'.
@Sgt_Spanky Oh you should. When your new potential boss asks you can say, "Oh its a very ancient and specialised role"
@Amisja Or he'll say "I see you've worked in a cotton mill. Sadly, this position is for a graphic designer. I'm sorry. Next!" Then I'd explain "No, I've never worked in a mill, I'm just lazy."
Again "Next!"
@Sgt_Spanky Hahahaha you made me snort my gin
@Amisja Then I've accomplished what I set out to do.
On earlies myself this week, so at least I finish at two. Last week was hell, as I had two nights of finishing late. But the best Joke From the Universe was yesterday morning, got in at 06.30......and the lines did not start til 09.00 due to breakdowns? Why do we bother? Oh yeh, bills, mortgage, food.
These are the reasons I am glad I don't work in clinical practice
