Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.They are very hostile toward any outsiders. They have no immunity to western diseases. They are one of the last tribes that has never had any contact with the outside world. I watch and read a lot of nature and national geographic channel and books. There may be other tribes in the Amazon like them that have never had any contact with the outside world. They should be left alone.

I had heard about them before. My husband and I travelled a lot in Asia and were planning to travel from the UK with our motor yacht to retirement in Malaysia. We had researched all areas on this sea route from Europe through the Suez Canal and into the Indian Ocean and had made ourselves aware of any hazardous spots enroute.....including Somali pirates and the inidiginous tribes on the islands in the Andaman Sea, one of which are the North Sentinel islanders. We were very aware that the island should be avoided at all costs, the Indian government made that quite plain by making it illegal to weigh anchor there.
