My understanding is that tipping of wait staff is part of their pay structure in which case this crowd is very un-christian. [news.com.au]

I waitressed in grad school to make some extra money, and you earn every penny! When I got out, I made it a rule that I'd tip 20% of my order or I wouldn't go out. That's still our family's rule now that there are four of us!

I am curious if anyone has ever known a church to tip for any reason.

so not only does the employer let the customer pay part of his staff's wages, but makes the business a strictly confidential one. would i work in a job like this? i don't think so.
