My understanding is that tipping of wait staff is part of their pay structure in which case this crowd is very un-christian. [news.com.au]

I waitressed in grad school to make some extra money, and you earn every penny! When I got out, I made it a rule that I'd tip 20% of my order or I wouldn't go out. That's still our family's rule now that there are four of us!

I am curious if anyone has ever known a church to tip for any reason.

so not only does the employer let the customer pay part of his staff's wages, but makes the business a strictly confidential one. would i work in a job like this? i don't think so.

this is also a good case for the argument that gratuities should be included in the check.

I won't be going to Outback anymore. any business so short-sighted as to believe that taking care of it's image is more important than its employees has clearly got its priorities messed up. if a business takes good care of it employees, they will take care of that business.

considering that this is a church, that Outback is not a very economical option, that people are starving.... this really ain't much of a church at all.

yes, I will check the connection with the Outbacks here and raise a complaint, if it hurts other franchises, those up the line may take some notice.
