So Everyone remembers: George HW Bush and his administration disallowed people who went bankrupt from including their student loans
Uuuuugh..
Life seems so complicated when I take in that long list of ‘needs’ to make a life! Seems like a lot of unnecessary resources...I just need to be in out of the cold, relevant in my community, and food and clothing, plus a doctor, if I break something! How much more will I need?
This is true for people just starting their lives..and a majority of seniors can't afford their medication or food..
@Charlene I know...most are priced out of shelter, utilities and healthcare!
@Freedompath the "Greatest Country" just loves it's its people..Not!
@Charlene yep!
The Politicians Creed. Make them a Platforms for election and then never do anything to reform them or put a tax on them. They usually do both.
So fucking true. I'm up to my eyeballs in medical debt.
It so angers me that we Still don't have Full Medical coverage for All of us..
May I suggest that if it is hospital, try and negotiate a settlement and maybe get help from a non-profit? Declare bankruptcy? I am sure sorry!
In a way it does but it has not affected me. Because of the GI bill and because I worked for a University I got paid for classes that were free. Many of the items listed I didn't aspire to (family, business, luxury dining and on). Also, working with the military and for companies with a healthcare plan this was never a problem.
You're very lucky..
@Charlene I am very aware of that but it did not come without pain.
@JackPedigo little in life does sorry to say..
@Charlene Sometimes the most important lessons come with the most pain (physical and emotional).
Outrageously true. Medical debt put my ex and me into bankruptcy. And the millions or billions in college debts is crazy. I graduated with none: GI bill helped, but getting student aid paid 100 percent in the 80's.
You lucked out..
