Ho ho haha that’s funny because on here we shit on all forms of spirituality. The Buddha who actually existed was an Asian form of a philosopher just as Plato or Socrates.
And it was those who came after him that made it into a form of religion sorry that not all cultures are the same.

I didn't mean to offend anyone or attack Buddhism with this. I thought of the idea of an "inaction figure" after getting a Facebook post about an "action figure", then searched for a photo of inaction, and a Buddha statue came to mind. I read Hermann Hesse's, "Siddhartha" as a teenager and loved it. But after reading and pondering it, I thought the message was that to reach enlightenment, one has to do nothing. I later read more about Zen, Buddhism and even studied and was trained in Transcendental meditation. I found there was some value in it.

The Buddha gave some good, whimsical quotes, but the whole virgin birth and hedgehog hat was too much.
