There's room for some very basic improvements. I spent years posting at Happy Atheist Forums dot com (under a different name) and their boards offer full control over the layout and formatting of content by the user. This goes for initial posts and replies as well. The same level of functionality is available as well as the option to make a title for the creation of the initial thread. By contrast, formatting and layout options on these boards is very limited.
There's also a comprehensive menu of emojis -- static and animated -- to choose from. Much larger than the simple few that's available here.
Like I said, it's a great site and the board technology here is usable but there's room for some upgrades.
Just my $0.02
This site appears to be built from scratch as a labor of love, but it often feels like they're operating on a live patient and taking other shortcuts to feature development and maintenance. Also, mobile users seem to report many of the issues, and I mostly don't see those issues as someone who exclusively interacts here using Chrome on Mac OS.
The good news is we users are not indifferent about it. If we were, we'd just shrug and go do something else online. We value this place and want to see it succeed. But I must confess I'm getting a little concerned about the number of hiccups, especially the way the site has been faltering the past few days maintaining and reporting points (and even I'm seeing that problem). For better or worse, the point system is the main contract with members, and the contract is being effectively broken. This is not a Good Thing.
Well...this really isn't a forum, but a dating site...although not much dating going on here.
Communication between members is an important aspect to this site. I'm suggesting that be upgraded. It won't impact anyone's efforts to find a date.
