Exposome Fact or fiction? Don't drink coffee it causes heart disease. Coffee is good for the prostate. Don't drink alcohol it will give you cirrhosis. Drink alcohol it is good for the blood. This is just a few examples.

The media sources these days sure do make me wonder...

The only flaw in science is humans. That's why you can almost always find a scientific study to back up what you want to be true. Whether it be out of personal belief or financial gain, many people will create a "scientific" study with bias towards results they want. That's why I never see a study and declare it to be true. If anything, I'll wait til the study is repeated numerous times with the same results. Even then I will typically remain skeptical of the claim until I can observe firsthand.

Common sense is what is required here. Just consume everything in moderation and everything will be fine. I don’t believe in depriving myself of anything I enjoy, I just don’t over indulge in any of them (at least I try not too)!

Moderation is the word you’re looking for

Don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but I think it's all influenced by $ = what industry is funding the study etc. I remember a slew of commercials about milk (remember the mil mustaches?) and Beef ( It's what for Dinner) and pork ( THe Other white Meat) but never seen one for broccoli. I think it's the same thing with these studies.

Ronald Reagan said broccoli was bad for you I don't think he liked it. It is not my favorite I will eat if it is in what is fixed I would never purposefully look for it. I agree it is all about fixation and brainwashing to influence sales.

Ignore all such BS! When I had breast lumps, about 30 years ago, I was told coffee was the cause, drink none. I had to be at work at 6am......yeah, right!
Now 2-3 cups a day for heart health is recommended, altho I think that is changing again. BS!
