Playing up fears against the "other" to make Trump look innocent is difficult when the "other" is not just Democrats, blue states, Mexicans, South America, and the media, but also ...the FBI, CIA, the Justice Department, the SDNY, his chief of staff, the chairman of his campaign, his fixer lawyer, his White House lawyer, several prominent Republicans, and a parade of people who he has fired or have quit. I don't know what happens next, but it's going to be dramatic...and probably worse before it gets better.
