Götterdämmerung : My personal Ragnarök!

Tomorrow is the appointment with my eye doctor. My GS will drive me. The one good eye has developed a flaw in the center of my field of vision. If that cannot be fixed, i am screwed.
And no, prayers are not required nor wanted. I could use a good bionic eye, though.

Hope and assume you have a good ophthalmologist! Consider getting a second opinion from a specialist if you haven't already done so! Lots of new surgical techniques that weren't available a decade ago.

Glaucoma has affected about a 25% vision loss in my right eye,so far the left is doing OK.

If the flaw is in the lens, it can be replaced. They do it all the time for cataracts.

sounds like macular degeneration

Yes, I had it done a few years ago. I think this is diabetic retinopathy, the gremlin in every diabetic's life.

@Spinliesel Uh Oh, I sure hope not. I don't know if there's anything they can do about that. I go back in April to find out what the anomaly in my right eye is. He said he doesn't think it's glaucoma and wants a retest. I'm also diabetic.

@sewchick57 My thoughts are with you. You can treat glaucoma but nor heal it. DOn't ignore the appointment.

We hope for the best outcome possible for you.
