My neighborhood church will always be my favorite. In my hood, we often spend Sunday mornings gathered at a neighbor's home drinking bloody marys or minosas and discussing religion. It's an eclectic group. We have representation from gay Catholics, Lutherans, Greek Orthodox, Baptists, and me, the sole heathen in the hood. The conversations are (almost) always friendly, respectful, and informative, but also include lively deep debate. There is no 'witnessing', attempt to bring me to jesus or prove one sect of Christianity is right over the others. Just people sharing their beliefs and traditions and trying to understand a little more about others. It's terribly refreshing and has greatly shaped the way I engage with (most) believers. Do you have believers in your circle with whom you can respectfully discuss your differences? I highly recommend it.
