Y’all! An earthquake just shook me awake in my bed! So excited! Never experienced that before!

I remember my first earthquake. It only rated 1.5 on the Richter scale; and I thought it was a clump of snow, falling off the roof!

I slept through it. It would have been interesting.

I grew up in Los Angeles. I slept through most of them. The exception was the Northridge quake. That one had me bouncing about 6 inches off the mattress.

Now I live in the Pacific Northwest. Very prone to earthquakes here too, as the entire area is volcanic. However, they don't happen as often as they did in Los Angeles. Actuall,y I have yet to feel one up here, but I have only been here about 8 years now.

I can see it being sort of fun, as long as it's not like Alaska's latest one !

It was pretty tame. So fun and unusual for us here in Georgia.

In Seattle years ago a tremor woke my wife (I was out of town of course). She called 911 and told the operator 'I think someone just drove into the side of my house'.

The operator said 'We just had an earthquake. Could that be it?'.

My wife's response was 'Thank god'.

The operator said she'd never gotten quite that reaction during an earthquake 911 call before. ?

Love it when I wake up to a dream that is actually happening for real, everytime I wake to someone rocking my bed they're not there 😉

I live in Atlanta too, didn't notice a thing...

Sorry to hear that. It was cool!

@brainyactress I have felt a couple here...I just missed out on this one. I haven't ask my daughter...she is a creative night owl and just got back for the holidays from California where she goes to school...she was up that morning when ai got up at 5. I'll let you know if she felt it. 😉

@brainyactress My daughter felt it...said it was very cool. She goes to USC so she has experienced them before, Southern Cal style!

Was in a five up by lake Erie back in 1985. Just strange ?

Ugh! I prefer my ground to quietly lay there, thankyuvurrymuch.

Be safe! Glad it was apparently positive, though.

This must be the EndTimes! (eyeroll)

Good for you and great attitude about impending death. ?

It was pretty mild.

Never experienced an earthquake until I lived in Palm Springs for a year. Had my fill of them then.

Pretty tame. A few glasses clinking in the cabinets is the worst of it. So, I got to enjoy the experience. Was a 4.4 about 200 miles away in TN but ATL is in the Appalachian piedmont so it traveled fast down that fault line.

That awkward moment when an earthquake brings excitement!

I've experienced a couple of them before. They're no fun in the middle of the night, cause you always have to be on your toes for the aftershocks.

A 4.4 according to early reports, felt in GA and TN.

That’s the one.
