If I were Ms Butina, I'd worry more about what will happen to her after she tells all to the US authorities and then gets sent back to the welcoming arms of Vlad and his boys. I don't see the US allowing her to say, and anyway, Vlad would still find a way to get her. Movies aside, spy craft is a nasty business. .... May her story help bring down that horrible NRA.

The linked article has not specifics on what the how/what the torture was supposed to be.... a Russian spokesperson is making the allegation.... so we really know nothing.

As the article also says, they have no evidence, not even her claiming it. They are making it up to draw away the attention

Well the US officials torture people around the world all the time, so who knows.

All kinds of Australian hate on this site...when I was there I didnt realize the level of unhappiness with the U.S.

@lerlo Hate, what are you on about. People in Australia do not hate the US, we just shake our heads in wonder what you get up to. By the way how come you did not mention anything about US government torturing people around the world, have you no clue what is going on, have you not heard of waterboarding, how about Abu Grabi?

@Jolanta I have several responses from Australians bashing the U.S. just in the last week on different posts. As for "U.S. officials torturing around the world all the time", saying it's going on continuously everywhere, no I didnt comment on that because it's not true and if you believe that you're allowed to believe what you want. Yes, it happened. Happy?

@lerlo So are you saying that Abu Grabi didn't happen, or Guantamo Bay doesn't exist? Or how about the "secret" prisons around the world that the US has access to. When you say it's not true you sound like Donald.

@Jolanta show me proof that we are currently torturing people. They can't be too secret if you know about them
