If they've endorsed any ideology/religion containing primary hate speech in its manifesto, holy texts or other documents officially tied to the ideology/religion in question, they should all resign and get out of politics and leave it to fully moral people do do the job instead. The only reason anyone has any right to point at Muslims in this way is that Muslims endorse a document that contains vicious primary hate speech, but if that's the reason for pointing at them, these Christian politicians need to point at themselves in the same way if they have likewise endorsed such a document (i.e. the Bible). If that is not their motivation though, what is it? Racism? Either they're racists or hypocrites (who condemn some primary hate while endorsing other primary hate) - I'll leave it to them to decide which label applies to them.

"Beyond the pale" lol

Hypocrisy abounds! The argument of not wanting Muslims in Congress is like saying "my god is OK but my god is the only one." People are going nuts about this on conservative talk radio. Nothing sensible will happen until we wake up and realize that religion and politics do not go together nor do they belong together.

Amen!

@maturin1919 geeze that's depressing....

Reading this only increases my confusion on how our supreme court is allowing government bodies to keep IGWT in public buildings and vehicles (not to mention the money), with the lame ass excuse that is "doesn't promote a certain religion". Oh really. How is that, when the xtians claim this is a nation under god, that the constitution invokes god and how our society is based on christian-judeo values? What other "god" could you possibly be referring to?
As far as Muslims in American government...lets just call a spade a spade. They are as bad as xtians in wanting to promote their religion and feeling that non believers really have no place on this earth. I mean...middle east. Theocracy much?
How do you reconcile those beliefs as a political figure in what's supposed to be a religion-neutral government. We see daily proof it either can't, or just won't be done.
People are fallible. They have agendas. I'm so discouraged right now with all this xtain agenda pushing. I know it's not a new thing...but it just seems so polarized right now.
Is our only defense against the xtain push to make sure as many other religions as possible are represented in government? To vote obviously non xtains, like Muslims, into our government? I'm just just so confused as to the state of our nation right now. Someone please help me understand....

Honestly, I don’t ‘want’ muslims in office any more than I want christians, or mormons… Organized religion needs extracted from politics, not included or encouraged.
