Xmas, Xians and FB -
UGH! All the devout Xians I'm friends with on FB love to post an interminable parade of Jesus-y memes this time of year. This one caught my eye because of the irony of one fictional character worshipping another fictional character and putting it forth as a serious statement of faith.
It's a bunch of shit that isn't real. How is this any different from a picture of the Easter Bunny worshipping at the feet of Humpty-Dumpty? Yet if that picture were posted it would be considered silly.
But this isn't?
Seriously, Xians -- what is wrong with these people?

I think it’s quite clever really. I’ve never put Santa and Jesus in the same frame before. I’ve always compartmentalised them as two different types of Christmas, the religious and the secular. Both as silly as each other but at least you get to see Santa everywhere!
