Great response by Peterson to interesting question:
I have tremendous respect for Jordan Peterson and have enjoyed listening to him for hours. One of the many things I like is how he stays focused, centered & grounded on very important fundamentals. He often showed respect and understanding of others and opposing ideas. He repeats in his own words what others say and ask, checking to make sure he understands, so others know he understands, and to give context and clarification about what he is responding to. He avoids answering questions that lead the conversation astray. He states his priorities and values boldly and clearly. He is simultaneously humble, confident and competent. He takes responsibility for what he says and does, and shows he honestly knows he has faults and might be wrong. I loved the 3hr. 20min YouTube version of The Joe Rogan Experience #1139 without 7 minutes of commercials at the beginning of the iHeart podcast:
Really interesting comments about the left/right interaction and how both are needed in a value orientated society. I have felt the same thing, that both sides are needed to get things done and keep the system running for the benefit of ALL within society.
Peterson's balance is attacked from all side. Thanks for understanding.
Can the left go too far? I said yes just before he did.
I’m gonna have check out more of his stuff.
Thanks for sharing this.
@Gooniesnvrdie Of course they can but the real difference is when it’s an individual acting out of their individual ignorance or a large group and that’s what I feel is being overlooked and as you said the leadership is out of control by inciting group behavior in order to be the loudest voice who wins.
@48thRonin Apparently this Goonies person has me blocked for some reason (can't imagine why... ?) so what did they say to bring on your response?
