I have received a message from another user I wish to respond to, but I'm unable to do so - the message shows as sent, but when I go back into the chat window, the conversation I've sent has disappeared. I thought this might be due to being level 1 (at the time), so I moved to level 2 and am still having the same problem. Any advice? Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks

Sounds like a bug, and not the first time I've heard of it, either. Stuff like that has happened to me. You can make a private post, and "invite" or tag (with "@" ) the member instead.

@qmoab no problem at all. After you make a post and then ccess it, there's a panel of options--appearing as gray buttons under the post text--which include "make private", and "make anonymous", and a couple others. I haven't done this myself, so I'm surmising that you could make a post containing your message, immediately go back into the post and select "make private" and then enter the the intended user's name. Maybe you won't even have to "@" them. If you don't want private info slopped about, you could enter some dummy text initially, and edit in the real stuff later.
