Jayne, unfortunately you are correct. I have noticed the same. If these “men” would like to keep thier comments to a group that’s up to them. It needs to stay off of the main feed. If thier shtick is in a group then at least we can block out the group and everyone in it.. if we choose to.

Yes, I have also noticed this. I am not sure if they are posted to generate reactions or because they think that it is still acceptable to do so....either way it is unacceptable. Stop it and grow up.

There are groups on here where members (am i allowed that good-natured pun? ?) can be as explicit ( though explicit does not mean sexist) as they like and perhaps there is an arguement for saying they should keep such comments for such groups. But i think you may be confusing intelligence with empathy. Intelligent people can apparently hold extreme right wing views for example whereas empathetic people cannot ?. On a personal level when a fellow man takes me into his confidence and expresses the type of views towards women that you refer to it makes me cringe, sick to the stomach and i usually end up despising him.

Can you block the groups or people that offend you? I just learned about group hiding. I doubt you are going to change anyone's behavior since they are adults, but you can change what you see or are exposed to.

There's a cross section of humans in any group - god people, or not. Some you're not going to like much. But most will likely be fine ! The only one you have true control over however, is you.

Not believing in God doesn't make someone less sexist, or morally correct or s better thinker in any way. Some people seem to do it just to be disagreeable with more people. Internet a-holes suck. I find this place better than others because it is moderated. Most other places it is not possible to carry on any discussion without being drowned out completely by their BS. Always report them if it is reportable. Block them if you otherwise don't appreciat thier company.

I’ve said it before. They are this way because they hide behind a computer/phone screen. If they ever said this in a public setting to anyone there would be backlash. But since they are behind the monitor...no backlash.

Unfortunately you've fallen into the same trap as I have. While there are some rational people here who've decided that there is no God, there are people who hate God or are mad at God and really aren't rational about many things. Just don't expect too much here.
