Be aware in many areas there may be codes that must be followed and in some cases you may be well advised to seek out professional help. I also have a degree in American English so I'll toss that in there as well. When stating a problem please be thorough in your questions and include pictures if you can.

I have the same problem. My husband of 17 years insisted we buy this 9 room fixer-upper, and then he ran off with another woman, leaving me with nothing but my disability income, and my disability, and a million unfinished projects. I know what needs to be done, but unless sprout wings and win the lottery, it won't be happening.
