Check this logical proof of God: God is love. If love exists, then God exists. Love exists; therefore, God exists. Check. Modus Ponens for the win!
The initial premiss is wrong. The End
It's a definition.
We'd have to accept that God A- exists and B- is, in fact, love for this to have any sort of meaning. It's a bit like saying Gef The Talking Mongoose is the slight melancholy some that people feel when it rains, and the slight melancholy that some people feel when it rains exists therefore Gef The Talking Mongoose exists
We don't have to accept that God exists. This is a proof that God exists. The Bible, being an authority on God, should suffice as a reason to hold that God is love. The rest of what you say is legit. Except that no one says that Gef the talking mongoose is the slight melancholy that some people feel when it rains, while millions of people posit that God is love.
@JadedSage Well, I freely admit I have no comeback to that.
@Jnei At least you are honest. Good man!
Well that's a very ambiguous set of statements.
How so? And how is that a problem?
Well what's ''God' if not an idea thought up. And how's love associated with it ?
