We all realize that not everyone is going to college. However I do not believe there is enough alternative education provided for the other children. At one time corporations were willing to train individuals. Because of profit demands they are no longer willing to do so. Therefore i would begin in 9th grade to teach various trades to the children who choose to take these courses. They should be given apprentice degrees in the field of their choice.

Very good idea.

I would rather see children prepare for a trade than have them sit through classes just wasting time with little to no interest in what is being taught. By ninth grade one should be able to read and write and complete algebra. With this knowledge they are ready to approach some type of job training.

I totally agree with you. Not everybody is cut out to be a nuclear physicist.
